{"id":8258,"date":"2026-01-28T11:46:41","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.labware.it\/?post_type=legal&#038;p=8258"},"modified":"2026-01-28T11:56:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:56:58","slug":"collegamento-terminali-di-pagamento-pos-con-registratori-telematici-rt","status":"publish","type":"legal","link":"https:\/\/staging.labware.it\/en\/legal\/collegamento-terminali-di-pagamento-pos-con-registratori-telematici-rt\/","title":{"rendered":"Connecting POS payment terminals with Telematic Recorders (RTs)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Requirement<\/strong><br \/>\nEffective January 1, 2026, all Italian businesses required to issue electronic receipts and accept electronic payments must connect their point-of-sale terminals to their cash registers (Registratore Telematico), in accordance with a new regulation introduced in the 2025 Budget Law.<br \/>\nThe connection is established via a digital registration and includes any device used to accept in-person payments, including Stripe Terminal, Tap to Pay, and Satispay readers.<br \/>\nThis requirement may also apply to other types of payments, such as online payments, in cases where businesses are required to issue electronic receipts. Consult a legal advisor to determine whether this requirement applies to your business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Link<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Italian Revenue Agency will make a web feature available on the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ivaservizi.agenziaentrate.gov.it\/portale\/\">Bills and Invoices<\/a> \u201c, where merchants will be able to register the serial numbers of each point-of-sale terminal (such as a Stripe terminal reader) in combination with the serial number of each electronic cash register (RT).<br \/>\nFor existing POS terminals (as of January 31, 2026), each device must be linked to a cash register within 45 days of the web service becoming available. For POS terminals activated after January 31, 2026, the required association with a cash register must be completed between the sixth day and the last business day of the second month following the first use.
